Learn about the Canadian Indigenous peoples who voluntarily served in the Canadian military forces.

The objective of this project is to let Canadians tell their story in their own words by creating a permanent online archive. The virtual "holdings" of this archive include hundreds of letters, diaries, and miscellaneous wartime documents.

The Commission's duties are to mark and maintain the graves of the members of the forces of the Commonwealth who were killed in the two World Wars, to build memorials to those who have no known grave, and to keep registers, including, after the Second World War, a record of the Civilian War Dead.

Preserving the gifts of valour and freedom for future generations, the Juno Beach Centre presents an online museum of the Canadian war effort. There are educator resources and many images to explore.

Thousands of Indigenous Canadians fought in WWI, WWII and the Korean War. Read the stories and accomplishments of some who fought in these wars and how the veterans are being honoured.
