Beyond 94 provides status reports on each of the Truth and Reconciliation calls to action, as well as summaries explaining those status reports. It includes features, video documentaries that tell community stories behind the calls to action and residential school survivors sharing their experiences.
This section of this atlas focuses on residential schools and covers some of the most devastating elements of Canada’s aggressive assimilation policies. Through these residential schools, Inuit, First Nations and Métis children were forcibly removed from their families and forced to adopt identities and practices not their own.
