This website from Elections Alberta has great information and resources for "Teaching and Learning about Democracy, Elections, and How to Participate as a Citizen". Find teaching resources as well as information for elementary, junior high and high school students.

Elections Alberta has put together a collection of resources for teachers, specifically for grades 6, 9 and 12 curriculum and the "principles of democracy and citizenship".

At this Legislative Assembly site, teachers can find information about "school at the legislature", mock legislature, teacher tours and school tours. You can also learn about special events and opportunities for students.

Teachers will need to create a free account to access to lesson plans, activities, and support materials on the following themes: Identities and Pluralism, Perspectives and Opinions, Political Ideologies, Underlying Values.
